To Nights like This

I arrived at the Sunshine Studios in Colorado Springs, CO when the line had just begun to wrap around the building, and it kept getting bigger after that. Of course, it is a Saturday and it is the first of the month today…. Yea, we were in for a REALLY Good show! The doors opened at 6pm and the music began right away. There were 2 opening bands to kick off this incredible night. Literally, a full night of rock n roll!

Above snakes were the 3rd ones to take the stage and props to these guys for not backing out of the tour. Their drummer had recently lost his dad, so he unfortunately had to go home, but the rest of the band decided to continue the tour, and they were awesome to see and rock out to!

Moon Fever was up next and wow, the front man Triston was full of energy! One minute he was stage left, then stage right, then climbing the stage… hard to keep up with him but definitely created an even more awesome set! Towards the ending of their set, being the last night of this tour…why not would a dinosaur join them on stage?

One of my ultimate favorite bands were now on stage. Otherwise. And today was the front man’s birthday, so I had to bring him something sweet. During their set, the guys lit up the candles that said 2-1 and had Adrian hold it proudly while the crowd sang “Happy Birthday” to him. He was speechless. This tour has been amazing, but not without its obstacles, and tonight I wanted them to feel extra love from all of their fans! During their last song, “Soldiers” (always a great choice to play last)- nearly ALL of the other band mates on this tour joined them on stage to sing and play along. I was able to photograph a lot of smiles, hugs, silliness and love. Well done tonight guys. Well done.

Our headliners for tonight were ready to ROCK with us! Adelitas Way is always a blast to see and sing along with. They have so many great songs that we are happy to sing along to like, “Sick,” “Bad Reputation,” “Notorious,” plus so much more! It has been a while since I have seen them and it was great to get to photograph them again and remind me of how much I love their music and who they are as a band. This whole tour had a lot of great bands full of so much talent. I can’t wait to see what happens on the 2nd leg of this tour beginning on April 28th in South Dakota. Go see this tour, you do not want to miss it!
