Spirits Tour

Hello Spirits Tour with Nothing More, Crown the Empire and Thousand Below on a Monday night in Downtown Denver at the Ogden Theater, April 17, 2023. When I arrived to the venue, there was a line wrapped around the corner. I wasn’t told this show was Sold Out, but it sure looked like it was!

First up right at 7pm was one of my ultimate favorite bands, Thousand Below. It’s been a few years since I have seen them, so it was nice to see them again and of course hear new music and see that it is doing well with them. Their latest “Hell Finds you Everywhere” is a smash hit. The words and the meaning of the song speaks to so many people, it’s impossible not to sing along and bring tears to our eyes. They also have another new song that has hit some big numbers called “Sabatage,” and that one too-the lyrics, the words- it is so impactful to people in the world today. That’s what I love most about this band, their lyrics are so deep and meaningful, not to mention one hell of a front man singing and screaming the lyrics- James is definitely the right man for this job.

The crowd was so excited for Crown the Empire! These guys had style and a big sense of humor. The Frontman informed us that his parents were at this show, but that didn’t stop him from lighting a joint and smoking it all on stage while he screamed the songs. Their whole set was on fire. So much energy and clearly the guys were having fun up there. They claimed to love Denver, so I am sure they will be back again soon.

Our headliners came rushing out right on time as everyone screamed for them! We were all so excited to see Nothing More back here in Denver! Their set looked insane! I really like how they keep changing their set depending on the tour or how they are growing as a band. Johnny even decorated his skin with some kind of paint- that was interesting to see, and of course they were a blast to photograph. The lighting was on point and made it fun for us photographers. We could focus on the silly faces the guys make and of course sing along with the classics “go to War,” “Let ‘em burn” and “This is the Time.” Their songs are so powerful and full of such great meaning and inspiration- another reason why I love them. Great line-up, and a great night full of powerful music! Check out their website to see if they are coming to a city near you!
