The Rock Resurrection Tour

Skillet, Theory of a Deadman and Saint Asonia

The Mission Ballroom- Denver, CO

First band to take the stage was Saint Asonia. I know a lot of fans actually came just for them! They are huge fans of Adam Gontier’s and will support them always! I am a big fan of his as well. His stage performance and how he interacted with the audience was incredible. Everyone loudly sang along with the classics, “I hate everything about you,” and “I don’t care.” Good to hear those amazings songs live! Rock is alive!

The night continued on with the well known guys from Theory of a Deadman. They played a great set including a lot of the familiar songs that we love, “Rx,” “History of Violence,” and of course “Bad Girlfriend.” During the songs, Tyler (frontman) kept playing a few cords of familiar rock songs that we all know and love, but then he stopped, looked at the audience and gave a huge grin. Such a tease! But was nice to hear a few of their covers as well as their newest release, “Dinosaur.” Well done gents.

The AMAZING Skillet. Where do I even start? Their energy, their light, their sound and their interaction with the audience was absolutely perfect. I would definitely label their set as a “Perfect Performance,” if that existed, but I am sure not everything went as planned, but they sure acted like it did! Even during their set, a person passed out in the far back of the crowd and Skillet STOPPED the song they were doing and waited until the person got the help they needed. How many other bands would actually STOP their performance to ensure that their fans were taken care of? Not too many.

They rocked so many great songs tonight. A few that we heard of were, “Monsters,” “Hero,” “Feel invincible,” “Comatose,” and so much more! They even had the awesome effect of lifting their violinist and both guitarist players up in the air! Luckily, all of them were safe and knew to not move and to entrap themselves in the lines properly so there were no accidents. I love seeing the different talents each band brings to the table. All of them, so talented. Be sure to go see them on this tour. You do NOT want to miss it!
