Half•Alive return back to Boston for a sold out show at the Royale, after joining Twenty One Pilots on the Takeover Tour this past autumn. Fans began to form a line outside the venue in the early morning and it stretched down the entire block. As a fan myself, I was so proud of the bands ever-growing deserved success. The trio consisting of, Josh Taylor (singer & dancer), Brett Kramer (drummer), and (bassist) Tyler Johnson create a whole artistic vision with soulful interpretive dance and emotionally touching poetry throughout their performances.

Their latest album Give Me Your Shoulders (2022) has been praised for it’s graceful vulnerability and top notch production. The setlist included many fan favorites off the new album such as, “Hot Tea”,“Make of It”, “Move Me”, “Summerland”, and “What’s Wrong”. While also including old favorites like “Pure Gold” and “still feel.” Off Now, Not Yet (2019) as well as “The Fall” off 3 (2017). Joining the band for the exhilarating performance was the talented duo JA Collective, with dancers Jordan and Aidan incorporating acrobatics and impressive partner lifts.
