Weathers: Our Little Secret Tour

By: Nicole Juliette Hetlyn

Now that live music is back, the shows keep coming through better than ever. Tuesday night was another stacked lineup in Nashville. LA’s Kenzo Cregan kicked off the show and had everyone dancing. Between their snazzy outfits (a fuzzy bathrobe, 70s tie dye, and more), we knew we were in for a good for a good time. I can’t wait for Kenzo Cregan to come back to Nashville, their set was so much fun.

Up next was Aaron Taos. His smooth voice and rock songs kept the party going. This New York artist is known for his DIY production, letting the authenticity of his music shine through. Aaron just released his second album, “Closure & Campari” last week. We were able to hear some new songs live, including the title track “Closure” as well as fan favorite “I Must Be in Love.”

The moment we’ve been waiting for, Weathers finally took the stage. Weathers is currently headlining the Our Little Secret Tour in support of their latest release, Pillows & Therapy. It was evident that the crowd was excited to see them. I met some super sweet fans in the crowd that drove 4, even 6 hours to be at this show. Their entire set was incredible; lots of energy and the entire crowd screaming back every lyric. I’ve always been a fan of Weathers since their music is catchy as hell, but also super relatable. Their music and work towards destigmatizing mental health struggles is very noble. Weathers has also done partnerships with mental health organizations, including: Jed Foundation, Hot Topic Foundation, and Mental Health America. It’s always cool to see bands you love be part of such an important cause. Weathers played all of our favorite songs, including “Happy Pills,” “Always Tired,” and “C’est la vie.” I am still on cloud nine from their set, and can’t wait for them to come back to Nashville!
