Motionless In White

If you’ve been following me or Savvage for a while now, you already know Motionless In White are my favs. Their show at Pop’s in Sauget, IL (in the St. Louis area) was yet another reminder of the love I have for music. The openers were Dying Wish and Silent Planet. I’m not a huge fan of either, but both put on a great show. They had some good breakdowns and got the job done for preparing the crowd for what was next.

Well first of all, Motionless at my date had a killer setlist. As a fan who has been around for many years, I’ve been waiting years to hear songs like Dark Passenger and Hourglass. As much as I love songs like Devil’s Night, Abigail, Immaculate Misconception, etc., it was really nice to hear something else, even if the crowd did not know them as well as the popular singles. I’ve been giving the band shit for their same old setlists for a while so it was definitely nice. I also loved new elements to their show like Chris’s bloodied suit, as well as older things like the MIW sign which I believe came from the Infamous era.

All the fellow fans I encountered were so nice and friendly, which I actually don’t generally experience at shows as often as I’d hope. Motionless In White is one of my favourite bands because of the people I have met through them- I am so thankful that they provide a space to have a good time and to feel all the love in the room. Catch them on this tour if you can, they’ve got a few dates left this fall!
