the Bandito tour

By: Rickelle Hunt

Max Frost, Awolnation, and twenty one pilots stopped by the TD Garden on the long awaited Bandito Tour. TØP has one of the most dedicated fan bases I have ever seen. The crowd was decked out head to toe in yellow duct tape and Trench inspired clothing. I spoke to some fans at the barricade before photographing and was told that they waited outside since Tuesday, this show was on Friday. I was inspired by how passionate and devoted the crowd was for this band.

Rising artist, Max Frost, opened the show for the night. He took the chance of cancelling his own headlining tour to join Tyler and Josh on the road for the Bandito Tour. I think he made a great decision, the audience loved his entire set including the multiple instruments he plays simultaneously. twenty one pilots always bring out phenomenal opening acts.

Up next was Awolnation. These alternative rockers are so rambunctious. They took the stage with so much energy and had everyone jumping and dancing the whole time. Vocalist Aaron Bruno kept joking that at the end of their set, they hoped to be everyone in the room’s second favorite band. Awolnation played several songs from their latest release, Here Come the Runts, as well as as fan favorites, such as “Sail.”

I have been a TØP fan for years being able to finally photograph them was extra special. Their production is always on another level, they played many new songs off their most recent album Trench, such as “Bandito”, “My Blood”, and “Nico and the Niners.” They also kept their old hits alive, with songs like “Fairly Local”, “Holding on to You”, And “Car Radio”. twenty one pilots, Max Frost, and Awolnation put on a jaw dropping performance remaining tour dates can be found HERE.
