The dreamy indie rock bands Turnover and Beach Fossils travel across North American for the legendary ‘The Bunny Tour’. Taking the stage first was the lovely and admired band Turnover consisting of Austin Getz (vocalist & guitar), Casey Getz (drums), Daniel Dempsey (bass guitar) and Nick Rayfield (guitar). Turnover’s music has evolved in all different kinds of sounds and genres over the years. Fellow fans have been following this band since the beginning, it is always a treat to hear favorite tracks off the one and only nostalgic album Peripheral Vision (2015) with songs like “Hello Euphoria” and “New Scream”. They played a mix of their popular songs and some deep cuts like “Humblest Pleasures”, creating a perfect balance for both longtime fans and newcomers by also including tracks from the latest album Myself In The Way (2022). I was blown away by the level up in production by the band compared to when I first saw them 7 years ago. The visuals, creative lighting, and flawless sound was a top notch performance.
Fans absolutely adore the Brooklyn indie-rock band Beach Fossils they have a way of captivating the audience and creating a laid-back and immersive experience at each show. The band consists of Dustin Payseur (vocals, guitar), Jack Doyle Smith (bass), Tommy Davidson (guitar), and Anton Hochheim (drums). Their latest full-length release after 5 long years this past June titled Bunny has been instantly taking off with high praise being produced by brilliant frontman Dustin Payseur. The band has grown and matured over the past 13 years, while still remaining true to their roots and core authentic sound. The set lists included 17 songs ranging from newer tracks like “Don’t Fade Away”, and older favorites like, “Sugar”, “Down the Line”, and “May 1st”.
