Underoath: Voyeurist Tour

By Mary Welch

I knew based off the lineup itself that this was going to be a really really good show, and I was right! I unfortunately missed Stray From the Path due to a delay in getting inside the venue, but Spiritbox started my night off the best way possible. A while ago, their “Holy Roller” video blew up on social media and I have been a fan ever since. They released their album Eternal Blue in September of 2021 and I can’t recommend it enough. Their live sound absolutely lives up to what they do in the studio and their vocalist Courtney is an absolute badass: So powerful but in the most beautiful way.

I'll be honest, I was like.. stupid excited for Bad Omens. I'm a fan girl for them too and I'm not afraid to show it! Every song and album they put out I fall in love with, especially their most recent 15-song record The Death of Peace of Mind. It has been on repeat in my car lately, probably a little too much. At the show, they played four new songs including “The Death of Peace of Mind,” “Artificial Suicide,” “Like A Villain,” and “What Do You Want From Me?” I hope to see them headline in the near future because I can never get enough.

I’ve been to a few Underoath shows over the last few years. Along with Silverstein, they have one of the most enthusiastic crowds I’ve seen in all my time going to concerts. Not just in Phoenix, but every time I see them the majority of people in the room are singing all the words back and banging their heads. What I love about them is knowing what level of energy to expect because they always pull through. This past January of 2022, they also released a new album, Voyeurist, and I’ve heard from fans this this is their best album yet! Let us know if you agree.
