I Prevail: True Power Tour

By Mary Welch

Recently I had the pleasure of seeing and shooting the awesome bands on the True Power Tour: Stand Atlantic, Fit For A King, Pierce The Veil, and I Prevail. Stand Atlantic kicked off the night and were great entertainment while waiting for the rest of the artists later in the night. It was fun to have an international band here since I don’t see all that many making it over seas. It was very impressive how they got the crowd off their feet as the very first band. Their sound is a bit similar to Pvris, but more pop elements and a bit faster paced. My expectations were exceeded since I had never heard them before!

Up next was Fit For A King. I’ve seen them once before a few years ago and enjoyed them, and again enjoyed their set this time as well. They came off as very friendly and happy to be there, a must-have for any band to be successful. They also got everyone in the room off their feet. Vocalist Ryan Kirby did an amazing job singing and screaming, and I really look forward to seeing them again sometime.

Over the years, I’ve seen Pierce The Veil here and there. This was absolutely one of the best shows I’ve been to lately. Fans sang and screamed along with every single word. There was never a dull moment. For me personally, it was a bit of a bucket list moment to be able to photograph these guys because I’ve loved them ever since I was 13! I am super grateful they are touring again and I really hope they keep at it forever. Shows like this remind me why I do what I do.

Finally, I Prevail closed out the night. I first saw them on the Rage On the Stage Tour quite a while ago, so it was super fun to see these guys again too. I have to give their lighting, sound, and on-stage presence all an A+ …well actually I give the whole tour an A+ because they all set the standard pretty high. They’ve got a few more shows this month, though a good hand full have sold out. Hopefully you don’t miss out!
