Beartooth and Motionless In White
By: Mary Welch
This past weekend was Beartooth and Motionless In White’s co-headlining tour in Tempe, AZ with Nothing Left and Stick to Your Guns. Not having seen Nothing Left before, I was genuinely surprised by how much I liked their music considering I don’t always pay as much attention to opening bands as I do for the main artist. Same goes for Stick to Your Guns who I have seen before, yet I didn’t remember them sounding so good. The night goes by so much faster when you’re having fun and can genuinely appreciate all the bands on the lineup, which was definitely the case for the Diseased and Disguised Tour.
On this co-headlining tour, Beartooth and Motionless In White take turns each night playing first, so Beartooth paved the way for Motionless In White. I had not seen them play before either, but really enjoyed hearing how talented of a vocalist Caleb is, on top of how professional their whole set was. Last but far from least, we got to hear Abigail, Reincarnate, Rats, and other songs from Motionless In White’s new album Disguise such as Code, Brand New Numb, Undead Ahead 2, Another Life, and more. It was so exciting seeing their personalities come alive on stage, particularly when someone’s shoe flew on stage and Chris placed it on Justin’s shoulder for part of a song. I would be so down for another leg of this tour in the spring because of how much I loved every minute of the show and can’t wait to see what each band is up to next!
