Summerfest (Under Aegis, Dreamhouse, Alvarez Kings)

UNDER AEGIS
Kicking off Summerfest the right way was local Milwaukee band Under Aegis. I did not know what to expect as I was unsure whether I would like their sound or not, but with their newly added vocalist, Carl Martin, I didn’t want their set to end. Their most current single “Point Blank” is awesome and you can listen to it here.
I can always count on Wisconsin’s best alternative pop/punk band Dreamhouse to put on a great show. I’ve mentioned it before, but hearing their cover of “Stay” by Alessia Cara and Zedd at every show of theirs is something I look forward to. Bands like Dreamhouse make me feel proud to be a part of the local music scene and I think that they have a bright future ahead of them.
I love Alvarez Kings. If you didn’t know that by now, then you better hop on quick because these four guys from England are taking over. You can find my reviews, live shots, and portraits of them from Summerfest 2017, Roscoe Village Burger Fest, and their tour date with Anarbor in the links.
