The Gaslight Anthem
By: Elizabeth Wiltshire
The Gaslight Anthem is back from their 3-year hiatus! They’re kicking off their return by celebrating the 10th anniversary of their bestselling album, The ’59 Sound. The album is being played in its entirety, with additional favorites on the setlist such as “Handwritten” and “The Queen of Lower Chelsea.” Over the weekend, The Gaslight Anthem played an energetic 25-song set at the Governor’s Ball in New York. This was only their fourth show since their return from hiatus, but Brian Fallon’s strong vocals made fans feel as if no time had passed.
Today, The Gaslight Anthem announced that they’ll be continuing their tour after they return from a brief run of shows in the UK and Europe in July. The ’59 Sound 10th Anniversary Tour’s recent additions will hit Boston, Philadelphia, and Asbury Park. The tour will feature support from Dave Hause, Joe Sib, Matt Mays, Jared Heart, and Worriers, with the lineup varying in each city.
Tickets for these three shows go on sale on June 5th at 12 pm local time. Tickets for the Toronto and Chicago shows sold out quickly, so don’t hesitate to catch The Gaslight Anthem on their return and celebrate the 10th anniversary of The ’59 Sound!
