Warped Tour, Vol. 6
By: Nicole Juliette Hetlyn
Our Warped Tour coverage continues, and I’m happy to present the Used. They were easily one of my favorite performances in Nashville.
There is no doubt about it that the Used is one of the core bands that helped set our scene. For the past 17 years, these Utah rockers have delivered some of the biggest rock hits. I remember jamming to In Love and Death all throughout middle/high school, which had come out when I was only 12 years old. Hearing these songs live at the final Warped Tour, now 26 years old, was a crazy moment. I still sang every song from the top of my lungs with just as much conviction, and so did Bert. Vocalist Bert McCracken has always been an incredible performer, and he put on one hell of a performance for the final Warped. The set was so much fun, and the colored smoke bombs helped to enhance the cinematic performance.
The Used released their seventh studio album, The Canyon, last October. They also released a new music video for the song “Over and Over Again,” which is definitely a favorite of ours. The Canyon is available for purchase on all major music platforms now, via Hopeless Records.
