Los Angeles based female duo, Crimson Calamity released their single “Wive’s Tale” February 23rd, off their newest EP, Gypsy Heart.

Crimson Calamity's sound is the perfect mix of old school folk-country with a touch of outlaw soul. The female duo is made up of two incredibly talented songwriters: Lauren Harding & Mallory Trunnell. Their songs show off their songwriting abilities with a strong focus on storytelling through feelings of sadness, heartbreak, truth, beauty, and, of course, love. The duo’s additional talent lies in their impeccable harmonies on “Wive’s Tale” and throughout Gypsy Heart. Their voices complement each other throughout each lyric and melody; these two were meant to sing together.

The duo describes themselves best through their list of influences, which had me nodding in agreement as I could hear each one of these artists influence in their album: The Civil Wars, Miranda Lambert, Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline

Gypsy Heart will be released on March 23rd, but you can pre-order the album HERE
