Lights - Savage

Being on the Savvage Media team and all, I couldn't pass on listening to the new single "Savage" by pop/alt-rock artist Lights. After years of hearing about her occasionally, this was my first time actually hearing one of her own songs. I first had heard about her during Bring Me The Horizon's There Is A Hell era, as she sings along with Oli Sykes on the track "Don't Go." Her voice is beautifully potent, soulful, and crystal clear, and I have to give her credit for her guitar playing in the music video. In addition, Josh Dun of Twenty One Pilots, someone I have loved for a long time, plays the drums in the song. What I discovered while doing my research, is that Lights has created her own comic book based around an alter ego of sorts called Enaia, including an album to coincide, which explains the meaning of the comic book-based video for "Savage." This concept album, named Skin&Earth, is expected September 22nd, and I can't wait to hear her new sounds.
