XLYØ - Alive
by: Mary Welch
Although I am always impressed with the music on the TV show "The Originals," XLYØ's "Afterlife" in season 3 instantaneously had me on tunefind.com searching for the track name and artist. For only following this pop/alternative/electronic duo for a short amount of time, they have certainly been played more in my music library than others that have been there a hundred times longer.
They first released the track "America" in early 2015 and have already gained a fair amount of well-deserved popularity and positive publicity. Nearly a year later, Paige Duddy and her brother Chase Duddy who call themselves XYLØ, officially released the America EP containing six songs. In the recent past, they have even teamed up with The Chainsmokers to create the single "Setting Fires."
Their most recent track is called "Alive" and was just released in the past day. When an artist releases new music right as you get into them, it's a great feeling, so don't miss out. Being the metal-head I am, trust me when I tell you they have an engaging sound and are easily likeable. "Alive" is undoubtedly catchy and worthy of your attention. Find it on YouTube, Spotify, and iTunes, and catch XYLØ on their US headline tour this fall.
