The adored Canadian gothic-folk band The Strumbellas bring the Part Time Believer Tour to Boston Friday night making for a packed sold out show to start off the spring. The band of six consists of the following members, Simon Ward (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), David Ritter (keyboards, percussion, vocals), Jon Hembrey (lead guitar, mandolin, vocals), Isabel Ritchie (violin, vocals), Darryl James (bass guitar), Jeremy Drury (drums, percussion). The talented group have been making music together since 2008 and have continuously released several beautifully crafted albums and EPs over the years. They gained international recognition with their massive hit single "Spirits" in 2015, which reached the top 10 in multiple countries and dominated radio stations worldwide. Their music is characterized by catchy folk-driven melodies, and well written heartfelt lyrics. The bands latest album Part Time Believer released on February 9, 2024 is described as, “an album that marks a new venture in The Strumbellas' penchant for big, brightly coloured melodies overlaying cerebral verses”.
