The beloved Arctic Monkeys and very special guests Fontaines D.C. take over the TD Garden on the 2023 North American Tour. Boston fans are so devoted and passionate with unwavering support to their favorite band Arctic Monkeys by filling the entire arena. The love they have for the band is infectious you can feel the excitement and anticipation in the air for the long awaited return of Arctic Monkeys in this city after a long 5 years. The show-goers in attendance come from all different walks of life from young teenagers to an older generation sharing the same admiration for music.

As Fontaines D.C. take the stage first they pay a charming tribute to the city of Boston sporting a shamrock Celtics T-shirt and Celtics flag. The incredible Irish post-punk band is known for intense live performances and poetic thought-provoking lyrics. The group of 5 consists of Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O'Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan III (bass), and Tom Coll (drums). While unfortunately missing bassist Conor Deegan from this show. They have gained an enormous amount of popularity after the release of their 3rd studio album Skinty Fia in 2022. Which has garnered much praise for its heartfelt tribute to the deeply unbreakable London-Irish bonds with sincere homage to the strong connections and the intricate dynamics between their homeland. The 45 minute long setlist included admired songs, “Jackie Down The Line”, “Roman Holiday” and “I Love You”. With fans holding up their own handmade signs saying I Love You. ♥ The raw and intense energy they bring to every performance is captivating. Lead singer Grian Chatten’s distinctive voice and poetic lyrics by the entire band add a different kind of depth and emotion to their music, making Fontaines D.C. a force to be reckoned with in the music scene.

As the adored Arctic Monkeys entered the stage the entire stadium shook with fans screaming, crying, dancing and singing with admiration to every lyric. It was a mind blowing performance by the multiple award winning British rock band consisting of the 4 members Alex Turner (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Jamie Cook (keyboards, guitar), Matt Helders (backing vocals, drums) and Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals). The band's energy in their performance was top-notch, having a setlist that was a perfect mix of their older classic hits like, “Why’d You Only Call Me When Your High?” and “505”. As well as newer tracks like, “Body Paint” and “There’d Better Be A Mirrorball” keeping everyone on their toes for what to expect next. Frontman Alex Turner, has distinctive voice and captivating stage presence. With his slicked-back hair and stylish outfits, he exudes coolness and confidence. Alex Turner's songwriting skills are exceptional, and his lyrics often showcase his profound storytelling abilities. He has an undeniable charm that draws fans in and adds an extra layer of magic to Arctic Monkeys music. The band has just released their 7th highly anticipated studio album just shy of a year ago titled “The Car” making for an incredible edition to their untouchable discography.
