Modest Mouse & The Districts

By: Rickelle Hunt

Modest Mouse joined by The Districts take over the Leader Bank Pavilion in Boston making for a lovely Friday night lineup. After what feels like forever of the live music scene being shutdown this show was an unforgettable comeback. Taking the stage first during golden hour with pink clouds still in the sky was The Districts, composed of Rob Grote (vocals, guitar) Connor Jacobus (bass), Braden Lawrence (drums), and Pat Cassidy (guitar). The perfect way to kick off the evening playing my favorite song “Nighttime Girls”. Fans eagerly fill in the barricade for the long awaited headliner Modest Mouse. As the sunset fades on the ocean water into a mystic dark blue foggy night you can feel the energy and excitement in the air. The group of six did not disappoint by opening the set with the timeless favorites, “Dramamine” and “Ocean Breaths Salty”. Their latest album The Golden Casket has been taking off recently, being the soundtrack summer, you don’t want to miss this tour.
