M A N I A Tour

By: NIcole Juliette Hetlyn

Fall Out Boy embarked on a month long tour supporting their upcoming album, M A N I A.  Their show at the Philips Arena in Atlanta last night gave us a good glimpse at what we can expect from the upcoming release.  Fall Out Boy played a mix of songs from their six (soon to be seven) studio albums. The energy was high the whole night, and everyone was singing and dancing along.

Some of my favorite songs from the set-list include “Grand Theft Autumn/ Where is Your Boy,” “Alone Together,” “Dance Dance,” and “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s an Arms Race.”  Another favorite moment was when Patrick did a solo, stripped down version of “Young and Menace” on piano, showcasing his incredible vocal range.  Fall Out Boy’s sound has evolved so much over their 14 year span.  When you hear these songs live, you will hear the changes, however, you can still hear the true "Fall Out Boy-sound."  In typical Fall Out Boy tradition, the night ended with “Saturday” - everyone’s favorite live song, confetti included.  It was a fantastic concert and made us even more excited for M A N I A, which is due out January 14th.  We can’t wait to hear it!

You can still catch Fall Out Boy on their North American tour with Jaden Smith and Blackbear, as well as on their international shows this winter. Click HERE for tour dates and to purchase tickets.  Also, you can still pre-order M A N I A (*limited merch bundles available*) HERE.
